    Resumen:
    Nuestra investigación busca explorar la manera en que se organizan las prácticas de diferentes grupos sociales a partir del surgimiento de una cultura de la inseguridad que provee una multiplicidad de significados relativos al delito y la violencia. Procuramos elaborar inductivamente los contenidos y las ramificaciones de esta nueva matriz cultural que articula creencias y sentimientos diversos, y que tiene como objeto intencional al delito y los delincuentes". Se trata de determinar, en primer lugar, cuáles son los contenidos y las dimensiones de la noción que los actores tienen de la inseguridad y con qué situaciones, objetos o personas relacionan esta noción. Se trata de establecer, en segundo lugar, cuáles son los fundamentos de las creencias que las personas tienen con respecto al delito, determinando el modo en que se articulan las experiencias propias, las experiencias de otros, los casos aparecidos en los medios y ciertos discursos más abstractos que circulan socialmente en el ámbito político, en los medios y en las instituciones. Se trata, finalmente, de descubrir cuáles son las conexiones concretas entre las representaciones así formadas y toda una serie de prácticas que emergen, se transforman o se especifican en el marco de una cultura de la inseguridad que ofrece significados nuevos para organizar la propia experiencia y las actividades cotidianas. Los tres aspectos fundamentales de nuestro proyecto contenidos, fundamentos y consecuencias de las representaciones sociales de la inseguridad tienen como principal instrumento de observación la realización de entrevistas con personas a las que se les preguntará acerca de sus creencias, sus hábitos, sus acciones, tratando de indagar las conexiones que ellas mismas establecen entre diversos aspectos prácticos y simbólicos de lo que entienden como inseguridad.
    Abstract:
    Our research looks forward to explore the way in which social practices depend on a culture of insecurity that provides a multiplicity of meanings regarding crime and violence. We try to inductively elaborate the contents and ramifications of this new cultural matrix that articulates diverse beliefs and feelings, and whose intentional object is crime and the criminals . First of all, we aim to determine which are the contents and the dimensions of the native notion of insecurity and which situations, objects or people are related to this notion. Secondly, we aim to establish the foundations of people s beliefs on crime, determining whether it lies on their own experiences, the experiences of others, the cases that appear in the media and more abstract discourse than circulate in the political field and other institutions. Finally, we try to discover which are the concrete connections between the representations thus formed and a series of practices that emerge or become specified within the framework of a new culture of insecurity that offers meanings to organize ordinary experience and everyday life activities. The three main aspects of our object - contents, foundations and consequences of the social representations of insecurity will be mainly observed by interviews with people that will be asked about their beliefs, their habits, their actions, trying to bring to light the connections that they set up between diverse practical and symbolic aspects of what they understand as insecurity
